Children's Ministry

Our children's ministry at Mount Zion is active and engaging. We minister to children in a fun and nurturing environment, providing opportunities for every child to learn about God and fellowship with others. We desire to instill in them a strong Christian foundation, encouraging them to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, so that they can grow in faith and learn to seek His will for their lives.

We have so many opportunities for your children at our church, and we provide services for them from infancy through the 5th grade. Below are some of our regular activities for our younger members and visitors:

  • Mount Noiz is our special Children's Worship Service for children ages 2nd - 5th grade. It is an interactive program that builds a basic understanding of Christianity through music, games, and DVD lessons. Mount Noiz takes place every Sunday at 11:00 A.M.
  • Mount Noiz, Junior is our special Children's Worship Service for children ages K4 - 1st. Just like Mount Noiz, it focuses on that basic understanding of Christianity through the same mediums, but in a more intimate setting with less students per teacher so every child has more focused attention. It also takes place every Sunday at 11:00 A.M.

In addition to these regular events, we also periodically host other children's events at Mount Zion, including movies on the lawn, "Fun at the Club" nights, performances in adult worship service, and more! If you desire a place where your children can grow in faith and fellowship, Mount Zion is that place!

Youth Ministry

The Mount Zion Youth program is designed to minister to students in 6th - 12th grades. Our goal is to lead students into a personal relationship with Christ. We minister to these students through encouragement, prayer, God's Word, and fellowship events. Watch our Mount Zion calendar for upcoming youth events!

Join us each Sunday at 9:45 A.M. in the youth room for breakfast, games, and a life applicable youth Bible lesson.

Senior Adults

At Mount Zion, we have several opportunities for senior adult fellowship!

Every Monday and Friday, at 11:00 A.M. in our Fellowship Hall, Senior Fitness Instructor, Leon Ogle, teaches Low Impact Fitness classes to our seniors.

Also, we offer two separate Sunday School classes that cater specifically to seniors, "The Sunshine-Joy Class," and our "Senior Adult Men" class. In both classes, you will find active members who enjoy sharing fellowship together and diving deeper into God's Word. These classes meet every Sunday at 9:45 A.M.

Our senior women also host our monthly "Ladies Night Out" events with the goal of enriching the fellowship among all the women of our church.

Prayer

At Mount Zion, we believe that prayer is one of the most powerful methods of praise and worship that God has given us.

Scripture says, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:6-7, NIV).

As part of our ongoing prayer ministry, on Wednesdays, Mount Zion hosts a workday "PAUSE & PRAY" time, for those who are interested in participating, to come together at the church during lunch hour. We spend about a half hour (from 12:15 P.M. to 12:45 P.M.) praying in the Sanctuary for our church, our community, our country, and whatever else the Spirit lays on our hearts. Everyone is welcome to join us as we draw closer to the Lord.

If you need prayer for anything, we want to fulfill that need and pray for you.

Sunday School Classes

Mount Zion, we offer many different Sunday School classes for our members and visitors. We believe that Sunday morning Bible study together is an integral time to dig deeper into the Word, to fellowship, to build each other up, and to have that small group community of believers who support one another. We are blessed that these classes are led by committed leaders who focus on in-depth study of God's Word and building meaningful relationships among its members. Our classes meet every Sunday at 9:45 A.M., and include:
